Ballroom Events

Looking for a fun and unique event for your next date-night or outing with friends?

Dance Connection's Ballroom Events are for you!

Monthly Workshop Dates:

February 16th

March 15th

All events 7:30-9:30 pm

Each workshop will begin with an hour-long lesson. Styles vary and can include:  Fox Trot, Waltz, Swing (E.C. & W.C.), and Cha-Cha

The excitement will continue with an hour of open dancing where you can put your lesson to the test and dance the night away with your favorite dance partner! Light refreshments included in your ticket price.

Make it a night of dinner, drinks and dancing by visiting some of our great local restaurants and bars in Historic Downtown Grayslake! Invite your family friends and neighbors for a great group outing! Or simply use it as an excuse to get out there and boogie!

About the Instructors:

Ballroom Dancing Instructors Spencer and Lexie Craig specialize in standard ballroom and swing. Their friendly, laid back approach to teaching will give even the most apprehensive dancer the confidence to take the floor! Their philosophy as instructors is to encourage their students to embrace dance as an art form and as a social skill, to appreciate a new way to bond with their partners or friends, and to enjoy the thrill and adventure of taking on a new challenge!

Classes will focus on basic timing and rhythm skills and how to lead/follow your partner. Throughout each workshop, attendees will be guided through a simple and well-paced curriculum of beginning-level steps and combinations.

The goal for each new session is for couples to learn practical knowledge they can enjoy using at formal and informal social events – or maybe just for pushing the furniture out of the way and dancing around the house!
